The Shuttle Valve – KV Series is a compact pneumatic logic component designed to allow airflow from two alternate sources to a common outlet, while preventing reverse flow between the inputs. It is widely used in automation circuits where a signal is required from either of two sources (A or B) to drive a single output (C), acting like a mechanical "OR" gate in pneumatic logic.
When pressure is applied to input A, the shuttle mechanism blocks input B and allows the flow to output C. Conversely, if pressure is applied to input B, the flow path opens to output C and blocks input A. This makes the valve ideal for redundant supply lines, backup systems, and dual control setups such as manual or automatic overrides.
Constructed from robust aluminum, brass, or engineering-grade plastic, the KV Series ensures high durability and excellent flow characteristics. It can handle operating pressures up to 10 bar, with temperature resistance from –10°C to +60°C, and is available in standard thread sizes from 1/8" to 1/2" for seamless integration into pneumatic circuits.
